5 Alive for Michigan
/Michigan brought 10 guys to St Louis and currently sit in 10th before the all important Session IV. Adam Coon is already an All-American in his sophomore season as he won his quarterfinal match over Spencer Myers (Maryland) 2-1. Adam Coon will now have his semi-final rematch with Mike McMullan (Northwestern) who he fell to in the Big Ten semi-final in the last 30 seconds.
Four other Wolverines sit in the Bloodround just one win from being an All-American.
At 125, Conor has won two consecutive consolation matches and he will face the #3 seed Joey Dance (Virginia Tech).
At 133, Rossi Bruno has also picked up a couple wins in the consolation bracket and will face the #8 seed Kevin Devoy (Drexel).
At 157, Brian Murphy lost his quarterfinal bout on a riding time point to the #3 seed Dylan Ness (Minnesota) 4-3. Murphy will now face unseeded Spartak Chino (Ohio). Murphy defeated Chino in overtime back on November 15th 5-4.
And finally at 197, Max Huntley fell to top seeded defending national champ J'Den Cox (Missouri) 3-2 in the quarterfinals. He now faces #12 seed Timmy McCall (Wisconsin) to earn AA honors. During the Big Ten Dual season, Huntley rallied and beat McCall 9-6.
