Scuffle Dominated by Nittany Lions

Heading in to tournament week, my biggest question was if the Nittany Lion lineup was really that strong making the Penn State squad the leading contenders for their 5th title in 6 years. Well bad news for non-Penn State fans as it really looks like the rest of the country has significant ground to make up to catch them.

The Southern Scuffle crowned five champions that will take their medals back to State College, PA. The returners (Megaludis, Retherford, and McIntosh) looked as good as they ever have dismantling strong fields. The real new were made by the redshirt freshmen duo of Jason Nolf and Bo Nickal at 157 and 174 capturing their own titles. They certainly didn't look like freshmen and Cael once again is the favorite.
