Lavion Mayes Throws a Punch

UB Bull Run, a Buffalo University supporting website, did a great job capturing a GIF during the Thursday night dual between them and Missouri in MAC league play. At 149, Lavion Mayes was matched up with Colt Cotten.

The ref awarded an unsportsmanlike point against Mayes but the replay is pretty incriminating. There is everything you want for a flagrant call: the windup, the closed fist, and the connection.

Missouri has had a history of stirring the pot in recent memory. J'Den Cox last year through Phil Wellington through a table. It was Cox's only loss on the season. There was also the National Duals a couple years ago when Missouri vs Iowa in the final almost needed armed guards.
