Natty Light

The National Duals bring an interesting mix of emotions to a wrestling junkie. In the risk of narcissism, I'll largely write this from my point of view.

While I largely try to emphasize with coaches, athletic departments, budgets, officials, governing bodies, broadcasting outlets, sponsors, and more.....give me some more wrestling. I am a Michigan fan and in two years I'll have watched Virginia Tech at Michigan in person, and then stream Michigan at North Carolina State. This year we do get the clear #1 & #2 facing off. Those are experiences I wouldn't have had without this format, so who the hell am I to complain? I haven't been harmed in the least and only benefited.

On the other hand, the Natty Light Duals (word play!) are another example of wrestling not having their shit together. I understand grudges, but I would prefer they help the sport with some good drama rather than harm it.

More structure would be greatly appreciated, and most likely beneficial to wrestling as a whole. Until then, let's keep this format or something similar because it's certainly better than nothing.
