Brucki Beats Mark Hall
/Coach Borelli was probably smiling a lot as they traveled up 127 back to Mt Pleasant because Central Michigan dominated the MSU Open with six champions. The upset of the weekend was when mega-recruit Mark Hall (Penn State) was beaten 8-7 in the finals by Chippewa junior CJ Brucki.
Brucki used a 4-point roll through 2-on-1 tilt in the 2nd period to out-score the most heralded recruit of all-time.
CMU's Brent Fleetwood (125 pounds), Justin Oliver (149), Colin Heffernan (157), C.J Brucki (174), Jordan Ellingwood (184), and Austin Severn (197) all reached the top of the podium.
The Chippewas have some top to bottom lineup strength that will make them a tough dual team that should climb the rankings as the season goes.
