Princeton, Rutgers Make History

Rutgers hosted Rutgers at their football stadium creating the 2nd most attended dual meet in NCAA History. It is an amazing accomplishment from two surging programs who are capturing the attention and affection of wrestling fans in New Jersey. 16,178 fans are the reported attendance. 

Rutgers fended off Princeton, despite splitting the matches at five a piece. The host Scarlet Knights secured bonus points in four of their wins to make the difference. 

Princeton did win the highlight match of the evening when the highly anticipated freshman, Matthew Kolodzik, was able to beat defending Big Ten champion, Anthony Ashnault. 

Both Rutgers & Princeton are in the top 20 in all rankings this week showing the amazing progress both programs continue to make.
